    Leon, are you able to access the full article? I can only get the first page. It says you have to be a subscriber to get the rest.

    In any case, the Vinaya are full of picky rules regulating sexual behavior for monks. It's said that every time the Buddha made a rule, the monks would find a loophole. So he had to micro-manage their behavior in this respect. Clearly, celibacy isn't easy to do.
