    is the term Dzogchen a sect/tradition? I'm not familiar with it.

    Dzogchen is the highest tantric path along with Mahamudra. I think it means 'great perfection'

    I should restate at this point that Tibetan Buddhism teaches all three vehicles: hinayana, mahayana, and vajrayana.
