My Eating Habits

Does Buddhism affect eating habits? I have a funk allergy that makes my mouth and throat swell when I eat fruits and veggies so I have to be very selective on foods I buy. Not much room for healthy foods. I have to reply mor eon excercise and self control. Anyway I have noticed that lately with all my Buddhist studies I find myself not wanting the junk food I did before and I also find I have a little more control over my diet. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

I would hazzard a guess that you are 'reaching a new level of consciousness'. Being good to others and making people happy can only happen if you do it to yourself first. It all starts "at home". So something - or some'one' in you has said...."hey! be good to yourself.... " just as you can't tell people to stop dropping littler, or using the mobile while driving, if you yourself do it, so it's difficult to "set a good example "if we live a life of c**p, see what I mean?
