Question about pics/images...

Anyone can answer this, since it seems I'm the only one who doesn't know how......hahaha
I can post my own pics from my camera....but how do you guys do images? If I do the long, old school way of downloading and then attaching......it's too teeny-tiny.....Copy and paste doesn't work...so please school me.
What if i want to post my own cushion....or cartoon? 
I promise not to overload...hahaha

under dialogue box you see 'Attach a file' (if image is on your computer)
on top of dialogue box you see between 'C' and link option a pic (looks like a square)
click on pic/square
delete 'http://' and add the URL of required image . . . (if image is on the Internet)
