Namaste all,

Yesterday at a Buddhist Temple in Rossmore in Sydney, two monks were shot in the head with a nail gun. At this stage, police are still investigating. But any good thoughts, prayers and metta to their recovery would be good.

    Apparently, the latest hypothesis seems to put forth that it was the monk who attacked the other man with the nail gun?

    The monk shot the caretaker behind the ear and the monk has a nail in his forehead and is in a coma in hospital. It's still unclear how the monk ended up with the nail in his head.

    It's very sad though :( ...

    More to this than meets the eye. It's not the first time a monk has apparently acted out of character, or behaved in an unseemly and bizarre way....

    Very sad, whoever does such a thing. I must say I find even such tragedies bring out my most inappropriate joshing . . .

    . . . reminds me of the time I was walking around a monastery at some ungodly hour, noise from a shed. A Buddhist carpenter monk was working on an artefact and explained the use of dowels. Fascinating it was . . .
