Well it isn't much of movies or anything, but reviewing the legacy of the man who lives on as a legacy...

For those who do not know him, Qin Shihuang is the First Emperor of China, the first man to unify a divided China and introduced a standard language and measures to it.

He was a man obsessed with death, immortality, filled with paranoia for the later part of his life, and treated his enemies unhumanely.

An extraordinary man, although not the best nextdoor neighbour!

I find it fascinating that the allegedly atheist and anti-superstitious government of the PRC, ever since the Great Helmsman, have refused to open and examine the tomb mound of the Emperor, even though they are doing wonderful archaeology all around it. Even in death, the First Emperor remains the model for all subsequent leaders of China. Perhaps we should bear that in mind in our rerlations with them.
