That is some completely crazy stuff! Apparently, the researcher's hypothesis (that there was indeed some kind of heightened cortical activity during death) was shown to be more brain activity than they anticipated. That is fascinating.
The other good news is they apparently anesthetized the rats who died for the sake of the study. Mph.
