    It might be strange to say, but I find being too familiar with my surroundings to be a really tough aspect of my life and practice at the moment! It's so easy and non-conscious to slip into old patterns of being/talking/behaving if you're in a place that is all-too-familiar. Frequent travel kept me on my toes and there was no safer place/space than mindfulness of the moment, now it's like a shock to catch myself on autopilot. Trying to keep in mind that this moment is totally fresh, and this "place" no matter how familiar is brand-new and totally right.
