I'm just eating breakfast and there's a Tui outside my window mimicking a fire engine siren...They also do mobile phone ringtones and more common landlines....They can really mess with your mind :)

Some friends of ours used to have a Minah bird that was so good at mimicking sounds, he even fooled his owners.

The husband of the family (Larry) was a man who valued his solitude, and disliked impromptu, unscheduled visits from anyone... even his family. He preferred forward planning and granting permission. he really was the epitome of "An Englishman's home is his Castle"...

They had a doorbell which sounded exactly like the one used in Avon cosmetic adverts...

Every now and then, the Minah bird would imitate the bell, followed by the habitual question invariably asked by Larry:

    ~ding-dong~! "Who dafuq's that?!"

Sometimes, it would imitate the bell, Larry really would ask the question, and the Minah bird would then laugh hysterically - just like Joan (the wife) did!
