Minor changes to front page

I made some minor changes to the front page today. Most notably I change some of the colors around, and fixed a bug reported by user FiveAngels that the login panel was broken. Thanks for that, FiveAngels!

    one bug that i have noticed is that the banner fill is completly different to the logo... At least in safari anyway. I am not sure if this is meant to be the case or not...

    it's intentional in the regard that I have no idea how to make it fill... so the answer is "yes and no" :lol:
