Any Walkthrough Videos or Audios?

edited July 2010 in Meditation
Does anyone have a link to a youtube video or a downloadable audio file that is a good walk through to meditation? Or chanting? Furthermore does anyone know any empowering chants?

Says theres a special offer price of 7.48 for pema chodron's 3 subject (I think 6 discs I have it) audio...

1 Topic is pure meditation and she gives detailed instruction for the actual method that she uses. She also talks about emptiness in the context of both meditation and easing up in response to our own stresses in life. I found it very moving and she used so many different ways to make the point in this 45 minute long disc of pure meditation that I really feel like I have something that I can apply to my life that I live (1) that I can help my meditation technique (2) and I am looking forward to listening to disc 2 of pure meditation and I feel these are authentic and profound buddhist teachings.

If there is something wrong with the offer at that site I highly recommend ordering this from amazon, but thats more expensive so you might want to try to find a free sample of this set somewhere to see if you like it. But you'll definitely get a good value if this 7.50 thing is happening thats a great price.

The whole set of CDs is like 7 hours of instruction so if its selling for 7.50 then jump on it :)

This link is to some free resources on the net. Bookmark it if you like it. You can also shop here for some things and that will give the host of the site a little kick of money to help him keep the site up.

The FPMT are giving away a module on meditation from their Discovering Buddhism course free. I did it a while ago (before it was free!) and it was OK, six sessions of teaching and six guided meditations in mp3 format to download.

This site has some nice meditations. They're a little 'talky' for some of the breath awareness ones, but for body scans, I use them. I find with the latter, I like to have a guide, be it real or recorded.

Just got through the whole series. Really good. His energy is so peaceful and reassuring. Thanks for linking to it. I think Patbb has been linking to parts of the series often too, but I never got through all 14 videos. Very worth the time.

FPMT is still offering this course, so I thought I would provide the link for the Online Learning Center. Instructions for registering and enrolling in Module 02 are on the page. The enrollment key is calmabiding07.

    Enjoy!
