Is There Such A Thing As Double-Bind In Buddhist Thought

Are there times when any approach you try, or any way you look at something, it will be wrong?

Can anyone ever be 100% right about anything beyond mathematical truths and some predictions of behaviors or qualities based on past experience?

I suspect that we're wrong about most things a lot of the time and a lot of things most of the time, but we can't let that tie us up in knots. We must act, because that's what we do.

It is not uncommon to be faced with worrisome consequences regardless of the choices you make.
Sometimes you think there is a choice to make where it's not actual yours to make.
Often though there are more options open to you than our conditioned thinking allows for.
Allowing ones personal investments in a situation to soften in strength through a meditation practice often allows for new possibilities to be seen.

If you find that it is really your choice to make, then try to pick the option that will create the least amount of greed, hate or delusion for everyone.

Are there times when any approach you try, or any way you look at something, it will be wrong?

    Probably not.
But the consequences, if they involve affecting others, will be an unknown.

The consequences are what you will have to deal with, not the original decision.

"No good deed goes unpunished" they say.

It's hard to determine the strategy you need if you're vague with the premise.
