The Garden of One Thousand Buddhas

silversilver In the beginning there was nothing, and then it exploded.USA, Left coast. Veteran

While tip-toeing through the msn news stories, I tripped on this article, a place in Montana: The Garden of One Thousand Buddhas; http://www.ewambuddhagarden.org/

On September 17th, they're holding their 13th Annual Festival of Peace.
I hope somebody can go. I'd love to go there for a visit some time. Who wouldn't?!

    What a wonder.

The gold ice lolly (in the third picture) looks like fun ... ;)

At the moment I am renovating an olde computer. When finished I will place a loop of chanting and Buddhas to turn it into a cyber shrine.

Here is one I did earlier.

Huh. I didn't notice the ice cream bar in his hand...I think the Buddha sitting next to him with the pointy hat is chagrinned. Looks like he's thinking, hey, where's my Hagen-Dazs?

I'd love to go see this place. It would be a 3 day drive for me because I'm only good for around 8hrs of driving per day, but it's definitely within range of Arizona. I'll check it out when I retire in a couple of years.

That sounds great, @herberto. . . something to look forward to.
    I hope you do.
