it has really helped me, but it depends if you are an addict or just an occasional overeater... i suggest reading the do you have a problem with food checklist and see if you relate to any of it.
OA has really helped me to accept myself and also lose weight. it has also given my Buddhist practice structure and helped me to meditate daily.
its not for everyone but it might be worth a look.
