hey nirvana, i think you are a very nice person and because of that you are finding my posts interesting, rather i am kind of stupid person who does not know even basic things. i am currently living in kolkata, but my native place is varanasi. your posts are nice, i have seen them in many threads.
so where are you from? and tell me something about whatever you feel like, will be happy to hear about you.
Hey misecmisc1! Sorry, i just found this. (Feb 8). So, you live in Kolkata and are from the Holy City! WOW!
Silly guy, you are very bright and open —and your English is remarkable. I have a lot of friends from India. My guru was born in South India and spoke Telegu. He was a monk of the Order of Sri Ramakrishna, headquartered in Kolkata. Swami Vivekananda has had a profound influence on me, but I find Buddhism to be very straight-forward and to-the-point in some very important areas. My guru had nothing but the profoundest respect for the Lord Buddha and his message and spoke of his realization and teaching at length.
I feel so privileged to be able to read the thoughts of bright young people like yourself and am happy that there is an international language that we can converse in. I imagine that we who have English as our first language sometimes can be more than a bit tiresome about the ins and outs of our language. PLEASE put us in our place when we get arrogant on this INTERNATIONAL board; we'd be much impoverished without people like yourself.
