Vinlyn, You always tend to come at me with a lot of animosity, stuff like "you do not sound Buddhist, you do not sound serene."
And honestly, I don't appreciate the aggression and judgmental attitude towards me. Like you're talking down towards me, not talking with me.
The name Mr Serenity is about sarcasm and humor. It's also about what I'd like to be. It's a nickname that was given to me by my Kung Fu teacher who was making fun of me for my berserk style of fighting in a tournament. It has stuck with me since, as sort of a humorous gesture.
While many people have commented on how I am very calm and collected in person, my true spirit is a fighters spirit that lives in the moment and is not afraid to go all out to get what I want.
I'm not a religious Buddhist, and never will be. I just look for the practical aspects of it and apply them when I can.
If you have nothing nice or useful to say don't say it.
FYI , smart guy and I really do think you are, Us Senator does not represent three plus million people, he or she is half the representation of one state... So a state with small population still has two senators.... Thanks for all you do on forum.
I just wanted to give you a heads up that for now, I'm going to try not to engage with you. I think the directions the last several threads have taken is unfair to the posters who are asking questions and not looking for arguments for word definitions and other such things. I don't know what is going on with you, but even though we often disagree, I have noted a change in your posting tone and manner in the past week or so. I hope things are ok with you and you don't have things going on in your life that are stressing you out or anything. I just don't want to keep taking over threads with our petty arguments over things that have little to do with the intention of the poster. I don't like to argue and I think sometimes you and I just need to agree to disagree. So, if you respond to something I say in a thread and I don't answer, that's why. I don't see a point in starting another argument. I doubt anyone on the forum wants to read it.
It is authentic because it is a teaching from Buddha his tantric aspect that caused Buddhism to flourish in Tibet and the vajrayana or highest vehicle of Buddhas teaching to spread to the world. Tobacco is strickly forbidden in the teachings or Tantras of vajrakilaya the diety that Padmasambava used to transform the evil spirits that were in Tibet before he came. It is authentic because it is a teaching of the Buddha. Many high lamas of Tibetan Buddhism highly advise not smoking tobacco and many forbid its usage during teaching seminars.
Hi :-). . . I miss you! Hope your heart is light as well as healthy. Just wanted to tell you how much I think of you and all the kids on this block. I look for your posts. You make me smile!
