Hi! I enjoy your comments as well :) Actually, I used to be a volunteer firefighter as well as an EMT. I am sort of a feminist as you will see, and I am also honest when I see something awry. I tend to call people out when necessary...if you have read some of the old threads. My picture is smiling! I never have been one with a toothy smile, it makes me look like a perv. LOL. Anyway, have a good weekend.

Thank you for your compassionate concerns. I was kind of worried about the burn out that the stress of the job creates. Ive talked to a few medics about this. The advice i got so far is that some people are made for the job, and trive in that kind of enviroment, and some are not mentally equipted for it, and they can pursue something a little less dramatic. I will never know until I try I guess. Ive been in some intense situations and kept my cool under pressure. I have unfortuntly seen people die(cancer in the family and I was in a car accident that took the life of a friend that was driving) so I know I can handle death. It helps walking the 8fp and knowing all things are imperment. Truth is I will never know until I get on the job. I have 20hrs of clinicals that I have to put in in march. 12hrs on the ambulance and 8hrs in the emergency dpt. That will give me a taste of what to expect. Luckly I have a instructor that has been a medic since '89. He doesnt sugar coat anything.

He talks to us about things to expect. Things that most people wouldnt think about. He told us a few stories that are somewhat scary. For example: he was on a call for a single car collision. When he arrived he started assesing the patient. He and his partner where the only ones their at first. Well the car cought on fire and there was no way they could get him out. The only thing they could do was listen to him burn to death. And he doesnt tell us these stories like he is proud. You can see the toll it takes on him with every story. Those are the situations that have me worried. But I do have plans to pursue nursing eventully. I am also thinking about Psychology as a path I might take. Idk. Only time will tell. But thank you again for you concerns. Its been real nice talking to you :)

Okey dokey, here it is. Vegan is just a more advanced version of vegetarian BTW. Ingredients 1 (12 ounce) package vegetarian burger crumbles 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce 1 cup water 1 small onion, chopped 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 tablespoon vegetarian Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring 2 teaspoons chili powder 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes Directions In a large pot combine crumbles, tomato sauce, water, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, chili powder, black pepper, mustard, salt and pepper flakes. Cook on low heat for 30 minutes, or until heated through It should be noted that I have not tried this yet so it's complete virgin territory for me.(i.e. if it tastes awful, I'm sorry)

I was wondering if you do slam poetry or whatever it's called on campus or at coffee shops...that would sound like fun, don't you think?
