Teaching is a skill in and of itself. Teachers can be drunks. Not all drunks can be teachers.
What did you learn? If he taught you what a hypocrite is... take the lesson....and go on. That's all that is 'yours' to resolve. Did you learn a whole lot of other stuff from him?
You may have to sit with it...if there is nothing you can do about it.
Consider this though...your feeling the pain right? Feeling is still feeling....so it's ok to say...Damn, I feel like shit today, and I think feeling good would make it feel better than I do right now.
Everyday can't be Christmas. Remind yourself, this may subside soon and when that time comes, you will relish in it. You will eat up every minute of relief you get...then....Remind yourself... that won't last either. Pain management....take it day by day....or hour by hour... however helps you. Once the carving hobby takes off...maybe that will move some of the form/brain focus to something other than body/form pain.
The only way out of it is through it. --My Nana used to say. :)
Here in the bible belt....Science is left out. Alot! I guess it goes without saying.
My children have qualified for the 'gifted'/honor programs because of their scores in the science category. They were 'average' in all other scores...but scored off the charts in Science. The admins at school questioned me at length about what supplemental teaching I was doing at home in the area of science because of the difference of range with the other students.
@riverflow and I were touching on this lightly last week while talking at the Temple. Is it the typical generation gap? Of course. Remember when rock n roll was going to ruin everything? hahaha. As with other religions....yes, adaptation needs to happen. And yes, I do think [we] will end up setting some examples for how to adapt, but stay with the core teachings. I can attest to raising children with this religion right down the street from many malls. Over the years, I needed to get very creative for certain lessons and lifestyle choices. Times have and will change....aka...impermanence.
This is a good example of it needs to be applicable.
If I can't donate...then what? There are plenty of other ways you can help:
-Encourage your family and friends to give blood. You could even become a coordinator/volunteer. -Help the Red Cross by volunteering for one of their humanitarian programs. -If you are a social media user you can help spread the word on the importance of blood donation.
