Was the Buddha a Mensch?

As a member of what is now the Commonwealth, the Buddha is almost British. Bravo. Though the Nepalise Monarchists like to propagate other possibilities . . .
http://www.royal.gov.uk/monarchandcommonwealth/commonwealthmembers/membersofthecommonwealth.aspx

As a failed Mensch from a long line of Jews [I trace my Jewish heritage right back to Lilith, yep before even Eve but that's another story] it is difficult to live up to my lack of cultural alignment. However the Buddha was clearly Jewish.

No wonder Geelong play so bad, they are too busy being mindful rather than taking the mark. ;)

  • As a rather pale being of African ancestry, the Buddha was clearly descended from Lucy or a similar Dharma Mother Being and potential Beatles fan . . .
    http://www.crystalinks.com/lucy.html

Now I know where that monkey mind came from . . .

    JE SUIS LUCY

The Buddha was Afro-Jewish. Note the dreads threads in many top statues . . . All right that would make him a bit Greek too . . . B)

  • Buddha with dreads sounds a lot like Mooji.
Too bad he's not Jewish. :awesome:

  • ^^^ Mooji is Jewish, he can probably trace his ancestry to Adam and Eve . . .

    I an' I rastaman . . . but nobody believes anything I say :o

Mooji is enlightened, so he is a brother/sun of the Buddha's Rays.

As a born again Zionist I am quite keen on having Israel relocated to one of its pre war potential homes - Africa. Ain't gonna happen . . . time for some wall wailing . . .

These very arbitrary delineations, define much about us but do not have to limit us.

If Australia is in Europe (joining Eurovision song concert as long term penal reform program comes to a close) then the Buddha is Anglo/American.

oh yea of little faith . . .
Is it evidence you be wanting . . . ?

Through his Celtic and English heritage, via his uncle

He took Jesus with him to England when Jesus was a teenager (local legends say that among the places they visited were St Just in Roseland and St Michael's Mount)

. . . the essence or Graal was then probably hidden amongst the pagan Irish . . . until St Patrick the snake killer arrived but that is another story . . .

  • What if Jesus was a Finn, just look at this pic of Väinämöinen.

Yes, the Irish have had to put up with an awful lot through the centuries, and Christianity didn't help. In recent times it's been the transatlantic influence. When I first went to Ireland to trace my birth relatives I was looking forward to some nice traditional Irish folk music, but it turned out to be all country and western!
