You have to be kidding me... my daughter and her partner live a good hour by car, outside Paris... Getting to Paris means getting on a local train to Paris Gare du Nord, then taking the Metro to wherever you want to go... We saw a small portion of Industrial Paris, from afar, at a hill-top view point.... which just happened to be in a local cemetery....

I wonder when she'll have time to bob up to surface.... O.o

Well, the best I can say is that it was an experience.... At least I spent a great week with my Mother....

Yes, thank you @lobster, I have indeed been away, however, the news has not entirely passed me by... my daughter may live on the outer outskirts of Paris, but the abode is neither subterranean nor were we in any way troglodytic.... Thank you, nevertheless for the updates... Having followed a few threads on here in the past day or so, I see the discussion has focused largely on the political demise of America... I see every sensible American in a state of mild confusion...

Anyone near California willing to receive some specialist seeds for me and post them on to me? I found some specialist oriental seeds on line, but the company is USA-based and does not ship abroad. Will naturally pay all costs....

There was a white rainbow over a scottish moor the other day....

A stunning shot of a white "fog bow" has been captured by a photographer over Rannoch Moor in the west of Scotland.
Melvin Nicholson was out on the moor, south of Glen Coe, on Sunday when the "unbelievably beautiful" white rainbow appeared.
Mr Nicholson said: "It is a colourless rainbow that is made up of tiny water droplets that cause fog.
"It's an amazing thing to witness and can generally only be seen if the sun is behind you when you are looking at it."
He said an isolated windswept tree, framed by the fog bow, completed the shot,
"It was just beyond magical and one of those days that you'll remember for a long time to come," he added.

Well it's that time of year again where I need to air out my ol' birthday suit, so this morning before work, I took off to the beach for a bit of a sun and a dip...
Only a couple of people were on the beach when I got there, a Spanish friend and this guy with a dog...Anyhow they left soon after I arrived (I seem to have this effect on people:) ) and I had the whole beach to myself...

Until that is.... Ms Impermanence decided to burst my wishful thinking clinging mind space bubble with her safety pin and a gradual influx of sentient beings started to arrive...Bloody cheek, intruders on MY BEACH...But still it was nice and the ocean was refreshingly cool... Same again tomorrow :)

Oh and other news... Our Prime Minster John Key has resigned ...Yes... out of the blue, he made a statement late this morning, saying it was "Family Issues" ...Well I hope it's not anything serious...
