BuddhaLand Franchise

There I was wondering when BuddhaLand (like Disney World but with Buddhas instead of giant mouses) would be open ...

The Christians are adding mini-golf, helter-skelters and yoga to their British cathedrals ...

Should we be sponsoring more extreme attractions?

  • Monks on a carousel?
  • Buddha lollies?
  • Crazy Wisdom retreats for politicians and the mentally unwell?
  • Meditation marathons? (I think we already have those - seem very dangerous?)

I honestly thought that picture had been photoshopped, @lobster ... "It most certainly is not a gimmick". No, but it's a way of raising money from the public, which the church, if it released some of its funds and savings, could well afford to give.

ETA: It has now been widely condemned by other Church Seniors, as a mistake and i very poor taste.
Brings to mind the "You have turned My Father's House into a Den of Thieves" biblical story...

From the travelogue “it seems to be a place where all the rides are intended to scare you to death, and convince you to be a good person, or else you are going to hell...” and then they say there are mostly school children there. Great way to educate the young, guys.

The rides didn’t seem that buddhistic either. The unicorn plaza? The home of the forest witch? Harry Potter?!?
