You, who love all beings without exception,
    Are the source of happiness and goodness;
And you guide us to the liberating path.

I request from the depths of my heart:

Please give me the light of your wisdom

And to heal my mental continuum.

Please nourish me with your goodness,
That I in turn may nourish all beings
With an unceasing banquet of delight.

And yet psychedelic hues of this photo's blue bark, paths & kuti roof persist.
I saw a documentary the other day that was talking about the huge amount of viral, bacterial and fungal life found within each human that we actually depend upon for our continued good health. Perhaps fungal mushrooms, whose origins far precede all animal life, also claim that they most assuredly don't eat magic humans.

    DhammikaKotishka
  • Fungi are so extensive that they were made a new separate kingdom (they had previously been included in the "plant" kingdom). There are more fungal species than plants. Moulds, yeasts, slimes and mushrooms are all fungi, including the charmingly nicknamed "Fuligo septica"—commonly referred to as dog vomit slime mould. There is also debate on whether they are plant OR animal:

"In 1969, a scientist named Robert Whittaker published the first major revision to Linnaeus’s proposed two kingdom classification – animals and plants (which included fungi). In the revised version, Whittaker suggested that fungi should be classified as a separate kingdom, and this has been accepted by scientists.
Are fungi plants or are they animals?

"Fungi share characteristics of both plants and animals, making it confusing when trying to classify these organisms."

  • I am a link in Lord Buddha’s golden chain of love that stretches around the world.
I must keep my link bright and strong.
I will try to be kind and gentle to every living thing, and protect all who are weaker than myself
I will try to think pure and beautiful thoughts, to say pure and beautiful words, and to do pure and beautiful deeds, knowing that on what I do now depends my happiness and misery.
May every link in Lord Buddha’s golden chain of love become bright and strong and may we all attain perfect peace

  • Then spring now autumn,
    the four seasons revolve.
    Then young now old,
you see the hair turn white.
    Then wealthy and nobility,
    now a long dream.
    Years and months go by,
Carrying ten thousand pecks of sorrow.
    In the path of suffering,
The wheel of rebirth rolls endlessly.
    In the river of passion,
    We swim like bubbles
    forming and popping.
Now coming to the right place
    To learn the Way,
Why don’t you touch your nose?
See that this is your very good
    Chance of a million lifetimes.
