Precious Life

Last month, My wife of over 43 years was rushed to the hospital with a major staff infection.
On the third day in the hospital, they were getting ready to put he on life support. The doctors asked us, "...resuscitate if needed or do not resuscitate?"
Fortunately, the medication began to take effect and life support was not needed.
Long story short, she improved enough, after ten days, to transfer to a nursing home for rehab and continued antibacterial medication.
Our Buddhist practice has kept us stable and helped us immeasurably during this time.
She is due to return home Monday, May 24.
Please all take care - appreciate and honor your family and friends - life is precious.

Peace to all

Phew, that sounds like a pretty stressful time @lionduck. It’s surprising how life can sometimes take an unexpected turn, but she is getting better, that’s something.
