Music and Buddhism: Kanho Yakushiji

https://tricycle.org/article/kanho-yakushiji/

He is one of my favourite musicians, as well as being a Rinzai monk too. A great interview that made me realise that renouncing, while liberating, should be done in moderation. And that our practice goes beyond the cushion. I remember in Shambhala they would call this "post-meditation" and it was defined "as important -sometimes more important- than the sitting practice itself", how we engage in our day to day activitivities is essential to avoid unnecessary suffering.

"Everything in our everyday lives is a practice and gives us a koan." Kanho Yakushiji.

Good day to all.
