Leaping off of the Wheel

edited November 2016 in Arts & Writings

Get, get, and get before you again forget
Your belly is bursting from booze
A mind filled with regret

Ichi, Ni, San, Shi, Go, Roku
Bashing your head against the wall over and over again then smiling
That is the meaning of jigoku

Your escape becomes a noose and your orgasm a net
Video games hypnotizing you until you're almost set to snooze
Yet you've understood and your eyes are now set

Your pleasures and pains have your appetite whet

After whirling your dizziness is piling

So after a rest you look around and in your gullet detest
What world you're creating repeating in a hunger unceasing

But life is waiting and only through her can you rest
Escape is imprisonment and surrender is best

The cave has left you emaciated, jaundiced, and petrified
Come let what you avoid draw nigh and let your collision with it be intensified

For you could stack up the novels, cigars, and soaps
But the evolution left unfinished will coax and coax
Until little Buddha has tossed the shell
Do not expect to get an airlift out of hell
