Mentioning someone in a discussion (like this: @Name) is a great way to encourage dialog and let them know who you’re talking to.

tosh, I need some serious help and I really think right now you are the only one who can understand/help. See, now I am the only english or foreign person, I have thai friends but due to my lack of fluency in thai, i cannot explain to them I am pretty messed up, I tried to taper the valium and tonight I took 200MG, drank some beer and smoked some weed. I know how this is so unskillful but I cannot help it. The thais cannot understand the dangers of tapering and I am planning on going to a temple in one week for 3 days to stay as a monk. If I stop valium for 3 days and try to be like a monk, I think it can be dangerous.... But I need to get back on the dharma path, the monks are very wise, but the valium tolerance and danger is a problem. Can you please give me some advice...

      Hi Tom,

I've just read this message; very late I know; but I'm not sure how the forum works. I'm a Geordie you see.

I hope you're keeping well, and apart from my advice of finding an AA meeting; and they do have them in Thailand, English speaking meetings to; I have nothing left to offer.

I hope you stay safe, find an AA meeting, get sober and then continue on the dharma path. I love Buddhism, but it aint going to get you sober mate.

      Regards,

      Tosh
