    The Pali Canon has some pretty dark stuff in it about the lesser realms, but the Buddha also repeatedly talks about abandoning unwholesome thinking and behavior and the good that comes from turning the beat around (to quote the disco song). So, that's good. Having done some pretty heedless stuff in my life, I wonder how other sometimes heedless fellows feel about their callow pasts. (callow: 'inexperienced and immature,' good definition for unskillful behavior)
