I only just saw this thread now and it is in itself a blessing.
"May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings of body and mind quickly be freed from their illnesses.
May those frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free.
May the powerless find power, and may people think of befriending one another.
May those find themselves in trackless, fearful wilderness be guarded by beneficial celestials, and may they swiftly attain Buddhahood." https://buddhapowerstore.com/blogs/buddhism/3-popular-buddhist-prayers
My sisters partner Liam Gaynor, has been vomiting all night. He is a Covid vulnerable.
Outrageous behaviour. 🤮 He drives the car for our weekly food delivery, due tomorrow.
Please send blessings, merit dedication, puja power, mantra etc to all concerned, especially your favourite crustacean (hopefully c'est moi) 😇
Why are you so lucky? Chance to practice intensely! 🧘🏻♀️🧘🏿♀️😎

Blessing Update: Phew, thanks already due. My sister plans to deliver our food solo style. ✅🌈🙏🏽Yum. 😌
I have half day off work tomorrow so I expect I’ll be on my own buying your stuff. We’ll get our stuff in a day or two - we’ve got loads of food (especially potatoes!)
May all beings benefit. Share the practice. Look after each other. Potato Power!
I offer this to the teacher, higher than any other, the Precious Buddha.
I offer this to the protection, higher than any other, the Precious Dharma.
I offer this to the guide, higher than any other, the Precious Sangha.
If offer this to the places of refuge, the 3 jewels, rare and supreme.

May all beings have happiness and the causes of happiness;
May all be free from sorrow and the causes of sorrow;
May all never be separated from the sacred happiness which is sorrowless;
And may all live in equanimity, without too much attachment and too much aversion,
And live believing in the equality of all that lives.
Oh great, compassionate Buddha!
Please help me increase my wisdom;
Please help me open my mind.
May I be able to appreciate the wonders of sky and earth;
May I be able to be grateful for the warmth of the world;
May I be able to obtain the assistance of friends;
May I be able to realize the value of Dharma. https://www.nantien.org.au/en/buddhism/pearls-wisdom/prayer-upon-arising-morning
Oh great, compassionate Buddha!
The day has passed.
On such a night,
I can feel how quickly life and time have gone by;
Just like a fish in shallow water;
I know the time is short;
I cannot help feeling the impermanence of life. https://www.nantien.org.au/en/buddhism/pearls-wisdom/prayer-retiring-day
I’m free in this cave on T’ien-t’ai:
No seeker here will ever find me.
Han Shan’s my only friend.
Chewing magic mushrooms,
Underneath tall pines,
We chatter back and forth
Of ancient times, and new,
Sighing to think of all the others,
Each on their own way,
Get your heads out, there’s still time!

And yet psychedelic hues of this photo's blue bark, paths & kuti roof persist.
I saw a documentary the other day that was talking about the huge amount of viral, bacterial and fungal life found within each human that we actually depend upon for our continued good health. Perhaps fungal mushrooms, whose origins far precede all animal life, also claim that they most assuredly don't eat magic humans.
Fungi are so extensive that they were made a new separate kingdom (they had previously been included in the "plant" kingdom). There are more fungal species than plants. Moulds, yeasts, slimes and mushrooms are all fungi, including the charmingly nicknamed "Fuligo septica"—commonly referred to as dog vomit slime mould.There is also debate on whether they are plant OR animal:
"In 1969, a scientist named Robert Whittaker published the first major revision to Linnaeus’s proposed two kingdom classification – animals and plants (which included fungi). In the revised version, Whittaker suggested that fungi should be classified as a separate kingdom, and this has been accepted by scientists.
Are fungi plants or are they animals?
"Fungi share characteristics of both plants and animals, making it confusing when trying to classify these organisms."
"At death a person abandons what one construes as mine. Realizing this, the wise shouldn’t incline to be devoted to mine." the Buddha (Sutta Nipata 4.812)
“Just as water flows under the ground
So those who seek it find it,
Without thought, without end,
Its effective power all-pervasive,
Buddha knowledge is also like this,
Being in creatures’ minds;
If any work on it with diligence,
They will soon find the light of knowledge.”
When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and the princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flocks,
The work of Christmas begins:
To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among brothers,
To make music in the heart. https://www.patheos.com/blogs/monkeymind/2020/12/a-christmas-eve-meditation-2.html

I am a link in Lord Buddha’s golden chain of love that stretches around the world.
I must keep my link bright and strong.

I will try to think pure and beautiful thoughts, to say pure and beautiful words, and to do pure and beautiful deeds, knowing that on what I do now depends my happiness and misery.

Here is the great Earth,
Filled with the smell of incense,
Covered with a blanket of flowers,
The Great Mountain, the Four Continents,
Wearing a jewel of the Sun and Moon.
In my mind I make them the Paradise of a Buddha,
And offer it all to You.
By this deed, may every living being
Experience the Pure World.

Your body is a wishfulfilling jewel,
Your speech is supreme, purifying nectar,
And your mind is refuge for all living beings.
With folded hands I turn to you,
Supreme unchanging friend,
I request from the depths of my heart:
Please give me the light of your wisdom
To dispel the darkness of my mind
And to heal my mental continuum.
Please nourish me with your goodness,
That I in turn may nourish all beings
With an unceasing banquet of delight.
Through your compassionate intention,
Your blessings and virtuous deeds,
And my strong wish to rely upon you,
May all suffering quickly cease
And all happiness and joy be fulfilled;
