Anyone belong to sgi buddhism, I might stand to be corrected..is it japanese buddhism?,

    It's Japanese in origin but is not Buddhist.

    Thanks for all the info yes, it disguises buddhism, I even looked up the local chapter<come to your house>, indeed.
    I had that happen a number of years ago a mideast religion I had made an inquiry of showed up at the house gave me a packet and had given me mebership<no they didnt get into the house>, I did go to some services, but it was a hefty drive so bowed out, and many phone calls until I read some section on phone harrassment to them, end of that/story.

    Anyhow thanks a bunch

    How do you say that, Genryu? Where is the authority that gives or withholds such a description? I hold no brief for SGI but I don't quite grasp how it is OK to state that they are or are not "Buddhist" other than according to their own lights and interpretation of the Dharma. What am I missing?
