From Tibet to Seattle, the journey of an enduring chef

I am not going too post the whole story.

It's about a Tibetan woman who fled from Chinese occupied Tibet. Left India and moved too the United States. She became a great cook and one of the few Tibetans opening an Tibetan restaurant. Also she cooked for his Holyness when he was visiting Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA.

It's a great story:

This is her website for her soon to be Tibetan dumpling house in Seattle:

  • There has been a Tibetan restaurant in Berkeley, CA for over 20 years. It's great food!
  • I'm so hungry. I'm nowhere near Seattle or Berkeley. Want. :(
  • Where are you, SkyLotus? Durango, CO has a Himalayan Restaurant with REALLY good momos, better than Tibetan momos, even! (They use lamb--that's the key! Lamb is really juicy. Beef, like the Tibetans use, can be dry.)
