What do we aim to keep?

I was thinking about virtue, but why?
what should we aim for. what should we practice aiming for?
WHY?!..

    Hi TheFound,

    Virtue (or "Sila") serves as a basis for developing the mind. If our conduct is not at least reasonably harmless then it is difficult to develop the mental qualities of calm and insight.

    if you want to play in samsara, try it out for a couple years.
