Here Is A New True or False Game :)

You describe three things that have happened to you or that you have done today, it can also be things of the past. Two of these tales are false and one is correct, the person below has to try and work it out, ONLY the person directly below the three captions. Then they should write 3 things about themselves and so on...

1.Today I walked into a lamppost, or streetlight, whatever name you have given it.

2.Today I a ate an insect.

3.Today I walked into a pharmacy whilst multiple buddhist monks were blessing it, and had to leave.

    Huh?
  • Oh, I'll bite. You definitely ate an insect. (Because I don't think anyone would have made you leave the pharmacy).
  • hahaha, no actually it was the pharmacy one. I entered and said sorry in thai, put my hands together and gave a little respectful bow to the monks and left. Your urn anyway... This is 'true or false 2' THE RE-INEVNETED version.

(and thanks for the leaving the pharmacy comment, very helpful ... O.o lol
  • hmmm...
I can break and train horses.
    I can speak fluent Japanese.
    I can rockclimb Dante's peak.
  • federicafederica Seeker of the clear blue sky... Its better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt Moderator
Today I decided to visit the Buddhist forum I moderate.

Today I saw it filled with yet more inane banter not connected in any way with anything remotely to do with, or discussing Buddhism.

Today I really felt that the high amount of rubbish being posted by members is turning this forum into just another social venue for people to idle their hours by.

    Today: I despair.

    Today is April Fool's day.

  • @federica
Hmmm, well it's not April fools, and I don't see you as the type to despair. It's definitely still a forum filled with a majority of Buddhist's topics... so the True thing is that: Today you saw it filled with yet more inane banter not connected in any way with anything remotely do with, or discussing Buddhism!
(aww come-on, I tried to resist like everyone else, but I really needed to know if he ate an insect). :hiding:

that was 5 federica, not 3 :/ tut tut

malachy, you can break and train horses.
It is general banter federica, did you ever read the caption that goes somethings like (if you want to get away from the deep topics and relax a little, general banter is the best place to post'

In fact, even google the term general banter or look it up in the dictionary. I post in pretty much all of the ctagories, JAI YEN YEN FEDERICA!! Gniab ban thee phom mei kwam sook, gap tuk khun.
  • @federica I think ThailandTom just posted this topic to attract your attentions. (Methinks he has a crush on you).
@ThailandTom yep, you guessed it. It's horses. I can only speak a little Japanese, because I can never get past the first couple of Pimsleur CDs, and I can only rock climb very small ledges (there are no mountains in Michigan).
  • Ah so there was some truth in 2 of your lies :p

Hmm, having a crush on somebody who I have never met and often get a cold front from :p haha. No I merely remembered LnP and his thread true or falses that died, so I decided to start a new one, but with a twist.

    Okay me again,

    1. I am scared of flying
    2. Today I have meditated
    3. I can see the ocean at this moment in time
  • You can see the ocean right now (maybe it's a picture of one for all I know). You probably didn't meditate, because I have serious doubts that people meditate as much as they claim. You can't be scared of flying because don't you live abroad, I doubt you got there by boat?
(we will incur a wrath, I know this)
  • Incur a wrath, for what? I seriously do not see the harm in having these types of threads in general banter, I repeat, what does general banter actually mean???

Yes, I can see the actual ocean, correctamondo ;)

  • ok, then I'll have another go, she doesn't seem to be watching anymore.
    1. I am terrified of inner city crime/bad guys when I'm alone.
    2. I am terrified of squid.
    3. I am terrified of clowns.
  • Hmmm, that is a hard one, the others I used a method of where the majority of people would put their answer 1st time, 1,2,3.
Anyway, I will go with the squid theory ;)

    1. Sand is in the top 10 of the things I hate
    2. I cannot live totally alone and be okay with the matter
    3. I have been to more than 3 hopsitals in thailand within one year
  • Dang.. you're right. It's those horrible squid.
hmm... You hate sand (everyone hates it because it's often an uninvited guest that follows you home in your shoes and butt-crack).
  • haha, exactly correct. It seems we are pretty good at this game eh :p

and take out : ''Today is April Fool's day.'' cos it brings havoc to logical result. ;)
