  • Very interesting article.

    Thank you zidangus.

    One comment:

Humans are part of the evolution. The six biggest extinctions in our planet's history have created the right conditions for the humans to evolve.
If the dinosaurs had not been wiped out, mammals would not be what they are now.

We are the part of nature. As such this nature created all this mess in 21 century.
    :)

As a person with a degree in geology, my only caution in reading this article is that we need to be careful that we have a broad enough perspective to be sure the changes that are discussed are significant enough to be able to say that we are entering a new geologic age.

For example, it's very interesting (well, at least for a geologist or paleontologist) to go back and look at the many fluctuations in glaciation in the past. There were many periods, as well as inter-glacial periods that over time look not as significant as they may have looked had someone been there at the time.

Very true. This is the reason I can’t make my mind to all this panic about climate warming and change.

Very true. This is the reason I can’t make my mind to all this panic about climate warming and change.

Well my view is, even if all the information we have on man made climate change is wrong, it is still making us sit up and actually start caring more about our planet and its inhabitants. and that has to be a good thing.
I mean lets face it, a lot of the people who are saying man made climate change is a hoax, are actually employed by or have a vested interest in big oil companies or similar types of business, and they have no shame whatsoever about putting profit before the environment.
I mean when George Bush came out talking about how climate change was not real, you could see the oil wells pumping in his eye's when he was talking :rarr:

  • What is your opinion on this:

This morning I laughed reading this:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1385815/Rome-quake-rumours-Streets-1915-big-earthquake-prediction.html

    and then:

Is this not the same tectonic plate?
