  • You can look it up on Amazon and read the customer reviews. There are quite a few.

Thanks. I just read a few. Many said that the book was better, so I've ordered the paperback Siddartha by Hermann Hesse -- it was reasonably priced.

I read the book before I ever became a Buddhist. Highly fictionalized story but it left a big impression on me. Hermann Hesse is a great writer and makes his characters come alive. I never saw the movie, which if Hollywood is doing its usual thing has almost nothing to do with the book.

They sure know how to ruin a book don't they. It's a rare occasion when a Hollywood movie is better than the book.
