Y'know, I wish the people who have such a problem with Obama would just come out and say it...

They just can't STAND having a black man in the White House. It irritates the crap out of me that they'll find any and every excuse to knock the guy (and even his wife), when it's patently obvious that they're just racists hiding behind non-sequiturs, false accusations, and innuendo.

I agree but do you think that would solve anything? Haters will always hate.
  • I think Mountains is saying people should be honest, instead of pretending, or coming up with false justifications for their views. One would hope that if people were honest about their racism, their honesty would enable a discourse on race, which is sorely needed in this country. However, most people with racist views cling to them tightly, so most likely, nothing would be achieved by them being open and honest. To the contrary, any discussion would degenerate into epithets and a lot of negativity.

I wish Obama were better at politicking and getting his measures passed by Congress. He seems to give in too easily.
