Highly important. It represents the ability to think of things positively, IMO.
  • often lacking.

I think that's why I love my kitten so much! He's full of beans, very eccentric, very playful and provides my husband and I with regular doses of laughter on a daily basis. Since we got him, our relationship has improved greatly, and i'm sure the kitten has something to do with it - we find ourselves laughing a lot more these days (the last year or so has been really stresfull for us both with two house moves, and both having to seek new employment and other life stuff going on). It's so easy to forget how important laughter is I think. I love the scene in Mary Poppins where they laugh so much they all float up to the top of the ceiling and enjoy their tea party up there - if only that could happen in real life!!

I might try a little experiment. Wake up a little earlier each day to watch some of my favourite comedy dvd's - it feels like a really nice way (if a little unusual) to start the day; laughing :vimp: I've never really understood why people like to start the day READING THE NEWSPAPER, how terribly depressing!

To think they drink coffee while they read too.

"I drink coffee because it reminds me of life's bitterness. This newspaper helps too." XD

Laughter makes life brighter and happy.

Gosh, I know! Incidentally, if I need coffee (I'm tired) it's always a good indication that I'm worrying too much, and therefore can't sleep. Coffee is my 'worry barometer'
  • For a potential relationship, it's number one on my list.

For people in general it takes off the edge and makes everyone at ease and comfortable in one anothers company.

It does make life brighter and happy.

I rely on stims far too much. NOt good I know, because I shouldn't really be avoiding the grinding tedium of life. The benefits of increased arousal generally make me more irritable. More stress = more tiredness. If I can just stay clean and eat enough good fruit to be awake, while having access to warm companionship and laughter for stress relief.

That's one short term goal of mine.

Tea is a nice alternative to coffee. Less physically demanding.

@Jeffrey good point and there are many many different kind;, I am sure @ownerof1000oddsocks can find one to suit Hir (I love this word) preference.
  • I have green tea with hint of lemon (1 bag left): and have just had a cup of normal tea. The 'rocket fuel' is locked away until tomorrows exercises. :)
  • I find that humor makes people more creative and quick thinking. Of course, the type of humor one engages in determines whether this creativity is positive or negative. Excessively rude, cruel humor has the opposite effect on me- it makes me uncomfortable and maybe angry if it's bad enough.
