What jobs can you think of that are COMFTORABLE? requiring a bit of college or none at all?

Jobs are some degree of discomfort otherwise it would not be called work. I think you should see what you are interested in. If you have an interest it will be more comfortable than otherwise. Some people like peaceful jobs and some people like a lot of excitement, and many other differences such as that.

What do you have so far?
I would say take any job and practice your mindfulness and other Buddhist techniques.
Compassion, Right Understanding and on and on it goes:)
  • barista (those that make coffee) or working at an ice cream shop :)
  • @leonbasin so far:
    Working in a hotel
    Cruise ship
    restaurant biz

nurse assistant. you make good money, work insanely long hours (but for only three days a week).
it is extremely hard work but you get more time off to do the things you like. it requires a little bit of school as well.
or you can work as a transporter, which also makes decent money.

what do you define as comfortable?
    easy job?
    nice pay?
    good benefits?

I would do Cruise Ship and Working in a Hotel and then save enough to open your own Biz.:)

yes! in a hospital they have people who wheel chair people and help people onto beds and such.

they do all the grunt work that the nurses don't want to do.

i've been doing random caricature gigs here and there. i just got paid $140 for two hours.
also there is a market for face painters at parties and such which isn't bad pay either.

it all comes down what "talents" you have. are you a theatre major? business? how good are you at selling things?
how good are you at interpersonal skills?

are you willing to work as self employed? which gives a lot of freedom but that means you have to find gigs for yourself.

Self-employment: lots of bookkeeping :p to keep track of income and taxes due the state (sales tax on your services), not to mention Fed income tax. Most self-employed spend a 1/2 day/wk just on the bookkeeping. And as self-employed, there are no health insurance benefits. No retirement benefits. Social Security is very sketchy unless you make a lot of money.

Lifeguarding is probably THE most comfortable job in the world. You watch people swim... all day. So... easy. It doesn't pay amazingly though and you need to get certified.
