Anapanasati

Hello.

Can someone tell me how to do anapanasati? I used to do it alot years ago, but i don't remember. I have so much chatter in my mind for so long it's causing me alot of suffering.

I used to just focus on a part of my nose where I felt air coming through and return attention to that point when I notice it has left but now I rarely feel anything in my nose when I breathe through it.

So I try to do the same thing for my belly but I must not be used to it or something I just get confused.

Any help would be appreciated.

    hello Shanyin

    I can suggest to slow down and use your hands to get in touch with your breathing, again.

    For example, place a hand gently on your belling and another on your chest, to feel the rising & falling. Then later move one of the hands to under your nostril for a while. Then return the hand to somewhere on your body again, in a natural & gentle way.

    Just take some time out to slow down and reconnect with the natural rhythms of the breathing rising & falling and flowing in & out your body.
