  • Do you have a link, or some further info so we know what you're referencing?

Hanoi? Vietnamese Buddhism includes some Vajrayana.
  • What do you mean, "being ready to become a Buddha"? Some say he's hinting at the fact that his life is coming to an end, but I found a recent statement in which he said he could be around another 15 or 20 years. I don't think he's hinting at anything, he's trying to democratize Tibetan governance and also has to outsmart the Chinese somehow, in the matter of his reincarnation.
  • Or for China to "smarten up". Frankly the rhetorics about Tibet being "always apart of China" is getting old. Not to mention the obvious benefit from tourism etc China is getting from Tibet. If the leaders don't want no more trouble, it's best to leave Tibetan culture and Buddhism to someone like the Dalai Lama (who obviously recommends democracy and socialism anyway). With revival of Buddhism in China more people will become sympathetic to Tibet within (I hope anyway... :/)

    Know wat im sayin?
