BUDDHISM AND IDIOCY

edited August 2011 in General Banter
blindly following your leader, not questioning actions, repressing emotions claiming you are "peaceful" because you don't allow yourself to feel, accepting whatever anyone says without testing it for yourself, not allowing yourself to feel anger - fighting that emotion because it is bad, instead of giving it some space and direct it wisely--

buddhism is not a cult where we don't think, don't feel, and just zone out all day. budha's intention is not to make you a mindless dummy. the mind and voice and body are part of our incarnation, something to use. the mind is a tool- yes it is true it is unwise to get "hooked" by our emotions, too fixed or attached, better to breathe in and out and distance yourself just a little from emotions ( and sure im not perfect and i dont pretend to be, and i do get hooked still) BUT im giving myself some room not to be perfect and to grow also.

"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense".- BUDHA
