I have just read an interesting story about the first evidence that child abuse in a wild animal, can be socially transmitted down the generations, just like what is seen in human cases. Anyway thought I'd share if anyone is interested. :D

    True story:
In my yard played four children, each one year older than the last , from two to five years old. It was evening and the children were wild: running pell-mell about a small area. At one point, the oldest collided with another and went down hard on the grass. He was slightly hurt but got up and continued the free-for all. Within one minute, the next oldest went down hard in another collision, sniffled a bit and continued. Very soon, the third oldest got the same treatment and was knocked to the ground. Three of the four , in age succession, had been spilled. The youngest, my son, awaited , unknowingly, his fate. I knew what was about to occur and smiled while awaiting the inevitable. Soon his turn came and he lay on the grass crying. Each "victim" was assaulted by the previous "victim."
I allowed this to occur because I wanted my son to experience his turn at "abuse." Moreover, the naturalness of the event made me loathed to interfere.
  • That was my favorite animal in the animal book. The blue footed booby. Its a bird.

Normal, as it is samsaric and defilement. The only way is through proper education on the delusion of existence, its impact and the truth of lovely nature.
  • @Spaceless sums it right up.
    Animals are just like people.
  • Such a cheery little topic. :bawl:
