The Suffering of Self

If Someone Asked You To summarize the Teachings of the Buddha, what would you say? MOST For Buddhists, probably the first thing That Would Come to mind is the noble oven (or "ennobling") Truths: dukkha, causes ITS, ITS cessation ( nirvana ), and the eightfold path That leads to termination. Shakyamuni Buddha Himself IS Believed To Have Those emphasized oven Truth in His First Dharma talk, and Those Who of us teach Buddhism find 'em quite helpful, Because all history included Other Teachings Can Be Within' em somewhere.

Nevertheless, There Is Exclusively or nothing about Distinctively Any Buddhist Noble Truths of the oven.

Buddhism HAS Its Own 'em take it, of course, in Their basic purpose form the oven Noble Truths are common to-many Indian Religious traditions. Dukkha IS Where Most Of Those spiritual paths begin, Including Jainism and Sankhya-Yoga. There est aussi wide agreement That the cause of dukkha IS craving, and liberation from craving That is Possible. Moreover, They all include lots of Some Way to Realize That release. Yoga, for example, teaches a path with eight limbs That Is quite similar to Buddhism's eightfold path.

So What Is Truly distinctive about the Buddhist Dharma? How does it Differ From Other Religious Traditions That aussi explain the world and our role Within it? Foremost Is The Fact That No Other spiritual path so Clearly Focuses on the intrinsic connection Between dukkha and our sense of self Delusive. They Are not only related: Buddhism for the self IS dukkha .
