Meditation for Forgiveness of Oneself? Need some pointers!
Greetings all,
So as some of you know, I joined new buddhist a short while ago and had a post about basically trying to get out of a lack of motivation/depressive mind state. I got a lot of amazing advice and messages, started meditating daily and pretty much doing a lot of reading/lurking on this site. I am currently doing metta meditation daily. I do not want to really get into long details, but the more I meditate, the more I am more aware and in some cases, regretful of some of my past unskillful actions. I know better now and would probably ensure that I refrain from doing whatever I had done in the past. However I still feel guilty regarding my past actions. Is there some sort of meditation that I can do to forgive myself and maybe let go of the regrets I feel? Do I just accept the feelings whenever they arise and let go of it or is there something actively I could be doing meditation wise?
Looking forward to your replies!
