'What The Buddha Taught'

edited September 2011 in General Banter
by Walpola Sri Rahula

I have just bought a copy of this book and I absolutely recommend it. Its beautifully and clearly written and a must have for any Buddhist bookshelf.

Just wondering what those of you who've read it think?

  • Despite the fact that this is a Theravada book, and I practice Tibetan Buddhism, I still find it one of the most useful introductions to Buddhism I've ever read. I frequently recommend it.
  • Tibetan Buddhism includes the "Hinayana" teachings within it. Thanks for the recommendation, folks, sounds good.
