The True Nature of Things

The True Nature of Things

Ven. Ji-Xing

Everything in the world is in a state of flux.
Nothing remains unchanged forever.
Our human life is just the same﹐
Just take a look at you and I,

Apparently it looks constant,
But no two consecutive seconds are the same.

Our life did not begin from birth,
Nor it ends at death.
Death is not a complete full stop;
Neither is birth an absolute beginning.
Birth is just the continuation of death,
And death is the metabolism of life.

What we call I of yesterday
Was formed as a result of old conditions.

If only good conditions are added today,
Our tomorrow will definitely be better.
If bad conditions are added,
Tomorrow will be quite different!
This is the reason why we say:
We can mould our tomorrow.
Our destiny is completely in our own hands!

I have suffered enough,
I don’t want to suffer any more.
Let me light up my internal world,

To get rid of all dark corners, and
Let the light of wisdom shine wherever I go.
From now on I shall lead a happy,
healthy and meaningful life ﹗ :aol:
