Recent Design/photography

At this moment in time I am without photoshop or illustrator, and my DSLR camera died, so for now that is the end of my photography and graphic design, but here are a few things that have been done in the recent past. Alot of which is in thailand.

People feel free rto post anything they have done. i lost a lot of my work when my mac died 2 months ago...

That was on a journey from myanamar to thailand. i just thought I would share images of all kinds, different people appeal to different stimuli, plus I am out of equipment now so that sucks, but that is life, impermanence

Intriguing! You have a good eye! My favorites: in the first batch the one taken underneath a boardwalk w geometric pattern/composition (cross, or x rather) and 2 tiny people giving the image life and (human) dimension.
Also love the scooter guy getting doused in water, that's an amazing photo. Lucky shot or staged until it came out right? Are you familiar with Yves Klein (flying cat and water)?

The one next to it seems just a mass of people until the eye gets drawn to the boy holding a plastic cup, and then it remains there.

I like the boat one as well. Good composition! Is is cropped or full image?

The one that raises the most questions is the one where monks are wearing masks! Very cool. As it's a still image, I'm not sure these are people or carved figures - esp since the close-up shows gold plating of some sort on the shoulder.

Anyway -- thanks for posting these! Maybe the lack of your usual tools will open up other creative venues for you!

these are fantastic! tom, i think you could make some money with this. selling prints to tourists could be lucrative, i would think.

have you thought about keeping a photo blog? it could be a cool way to document some of your travels and i find myself curious about the history behind some of the photos. for example, what's up with the street water gun fight?

also, if you still have the mac, it might be possible to pull stuff from the hard drive with another computer. i don't know much about macs, but you can sometimes do this with pcs(depending on the problem), so i assume it'd be the same.

The mac and the hard drive is gone, that is that lol. The water incidents are songkran, a festival in thailand that is in march where the whole nation has a water fight for a few days and there are other meanings to it.

These are not my best, I have not taken a foto in months since I have no camera, or photoshop. I really want to crop some of the fotos, but there you go, this is life.
If I tried selling prints on the street here in thailand, the police would be on me like wildfire, but thanks for the comments people. I just like to hear what appeals to certain people image wise.

There are many stories behind some of these fotos, as with many fotos, but I shall put some up from my travels in thailand here if anybody is curious. Mosr ate not really taken when I was intending to capture 'something beautiful' or the most part, but an experience of sorts.
