Musicians around here?

Hi,

If there are some techno-savvy people around here, could you please help me with this? Is it possible to connect the music keyboard(casio)to the computer so as to record the piece (on the computer as we play on the keyboard)? Does that make sense?

Hope to hear from someone on this.

Thanks in advance,
BB

  • Are you talking about using the keyboard as a MIDI controller or are you just wanting to record the Casio directly onto your computer?
  • Second ... while playing the casio, it should record on the computer. But what's the first option you mentioned - MIDI controller? Could you tell me more?
  • T be honest, I've rarely used MIDI except to trigger drum machines. With MIDI you can use the sounds from a computer or another synth but control them with another keyboard. You can get keyboards that are JUST keyboards, without built-in sounds and plug them up to computers and synth boxes, that sort of thing.

What sort of computer program are you using to record with?
