Looking inward

As long as I can remember I have looked outside of myself for reassurance. I'm now learning to look inward and trust myself! Ive never trusted myself & learning to trust myself has turned out to be my biggest obstacle.

Obsessive compulsive disorder which causes a lot of doubt has been forefront in my life for 30+ years...

Where do I begin?

  • Begin with love for yourself, because the path can be frustrating. There are tons of books out there on Buddhism and meditation - check out the Recommended Reading thread

You took the first step... As my teacher has told me, this path is the most difficult thing you will ever do in this life. Looking deep into ones inner-self is not an easy thing to do, but can be very rewarding. Using the tools of meditation and mindfulness will allow you to see things as they really are and allow you to direct your actions accordingly.
