I randomly just remembered something I had seen a couple of months ago on the bio channel, when I had a TV that is. I use to watch a show called 'I survived' where it takes three different accounts each episode from three different groups of people or three individuals. It is all true and they go through their story, it could be something like being held hostage, shark attack, trapped in a wild fire, being raped and stabbed and so on. The point of the show is to illustrate how these people came so close to death but survived.
Anyway, I saw a follow up episode called, I survived and beyond or something along those lines. Again. it had three people but this time they had all been declared dead but had been brought back. One woman had a heart attack in a car park (parking lot), and her heart actually stopped for 57 minutes.
What intrigued me about this show was the three different accounts of what they experienced during this time. They all had a common aspect of feeling a blissful sensation, the pain of the situation and of the body being totally absent and no real perception of time. The woman in the car park exclaimed that she looked down at her body and her friend performing CPR, really beating at her chest and so forth, and she felt nothing so she realized she was dead. She went on to say that it was a feeling and experience similar to a deep meditation where there was no worry, no pain or feeling anything physical, and that there was no thoughts about everyday routines such as shopping for food, paying bills etc, they was just nothing to worry about what so ever.
It was really interesting to watch, I may have a dig around youtube to see if there are any episodes up there. You can see that it is real and not fake because of the way they talk about it all. Each of the three people said that now they are not scared of death and they do not take life for granted one bit. One woman actually said that when she was brought back to life, she instantly felt the pain again and wished to be dead as she enjoyed the experience so much lol.
