What a strange homecoming...

I was out of town over the weekend for a family gathering. Left my beloved Lulu with some friends, and am going to pick her up after school tomorrow. I realized just now that this is the first time I've come home to a house with no animals in it (I don't really count the goldfish, since they don't like to cuddle much) in over 17 years! It's positively creepy around here with no dogs and no cats.

  • How odd, I know that even though I still have a cat it was hard when my dog passed in August. I kept on leaving the house nto as secure when I was home because she always barked when someone stepped on the property, and I had to sleep by myself.

Animals are wonderful companions even if I don't understand it myself.
  • My present household consists of 4 small dogs, two cats, and 6 birds. Oh, and 3 people. All but the cats and me are leaving, so it'll be pretty darn quiet up in here!

Who says solitude is bad? Well, peopleless, not catless:P

All the better to meditate :om:
  • my cat is a meditating pain in the rear, the dog would just hang out and snore.

Now some time without people is a nice break, if balanced
